WE LEAVE IN 5DAYS!!!
Well, this has been such a weird week. Tuesday night we had a goodbye party, which I was doing fine (hardly any tears) until my one of my youth gave me a framed collage of all our youth. Then I lost it good. It was so hard saying goodbye (not forever) but its just hard to know that I won’t be seeing them regularly.
Then we turbo packed on Wednesday, intermixed with many, MANY tears with my family. I went to bed that night exhausted but so overjoyed in the grace I was feeling. I honestly can’t describe the grace that I know is carrying me through this. So scared yet excited.
Thursday we left Anaheim at 5am! We woke Mason up and he said “LETS GET ON A PLANE AND GO TO PAPUA NEW GUINEA”. Crazy kid, he’s so excited. Around 9am Ezra started throwing up all over the car. Of course I was driving and had to pull over on the road, while my wonderful husband cleaned up the vomit. Lots of fun! But that night he was singing and stuffing his face with pizza, fit as a fiddle!
We are now in Seattle. Crazy to think that in ONE WEEK I’ll be in PAPUA NEW GUINEA!
I feel God’s hand like a warm blanket covering us. Comforting, and guiding me through this unknown path.
The other day I wrote out all my “promise scriptures” from the Lord. It was encouraging and humbling to write out all that God has spoken to me. I’m learning to just TRUST. My fears and worries only drive me away from my Gracious Father, who is always faithful and true to his word.
Just trust “It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect.”
Carina,
I know we haven’t seen or heard much from eachother recently, but I am so excited for you and your family! God has done amazing things through your life and I know he will continue to bless (and challenge) you.
I am looking forward to seeing all the blogs and updates about your time in PNG!!
