Many of our friends and family have asked what we would like sent to us.

TIP: US POST has a FLAT RATE on their boxes and envelopes.  You have to buy them at the post office, its always the cheaper way so it never gets weighed.  The flat rate cardboard envelopes are very sturdy- but tape them up good!!!

IMPORTANT:  On contents please mark: personal items (otherwise the customs officiers will go through the package and charge us for anything they think is of value). Also, any food or candy please put into a zip lock bag.  We’ve had several packages arrive with half eaten candy that the rats got into at the post office.   ***Also, please remove all tags and packaging from items PNG charges us duty on products that they think are new.

  1. Hi Carina -
I am sending a few boxes of beloved books and homeschool items for you. Let me know if you need anything else. WE are loving your blog. It has been a real blessing to us to keep updated on your life as a missionary mommy. Our prayers are with you and your family. Much love, prayers and purpose ~

  2. Hello,

I have been reading the articles and looking at the pictures on the website. As you have moved to a different place, is there an update on things you would like or need at this time? I remember when your family was here in Salina at ECC before you left for PNG. We are praying for you and the work that the Lord has prepared for you this year!

    • Patty,
Thank you so much for your prayers and keeping up with the many stories. We loved Salina and ECC and are so grateful for the support of your Pastor Loren. I recently updated my page called “Things to send to Moresby.” It has a list of things we would love and also things for the homeless children that we minister here. We still learning of the many needs here in Moresby and are praying for more vision as we minister to the needs of the people.
I hope to one day meet you in Salina. Thanks again.

  3. Carina,
There is no charge at the Post Office for the flat rate boxes. When I send the box I write in detail what is in the box for the US post office and then on the forms that go into PNG I put ‘Personal Items not for resale’. That way both post offices are satisfied and the boxes have always gotten there. not to mention I pray over every box and I am sure that God has protected them.

  4. I dont know If I said it already but …Cool site, love the info. I do a lot of research online on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks, :)

  5. Hi Karina,
stubbled upon your blog site and just love it. I am a papau new guinean away from my homeland and it is such a blessing to hear about all that you and your husband are doing in my country. I thank you for giving. Giving your life, time, money, recources, and the list goes on…for giving to the Lord to extend Gods Kingdom in my country.

Your husband knows me, or rather should know my brother, Hensen Heriso. They were class mates I think.
Praying for you and all other missionary moms that leave the comfort and safety of familiar environments to minister to the broken hearted and lonely, lost souls.
    serina
